Description

This is a group for those who are interested in both technology and biking.  That is mountain and road biking.  It is a place to meet others with similar interests.  To make friends.  And to do some technology projects together.

What kind of device(s) do you have on your bike?

I would like to add more to what I have on my bike.  I just have a speedometer / odometer today.  What else should I get?  What do you have?

I have nothing. :( I want a biking computer though. Nothing too expensive, though. A spedometer/odometer would be fantastic.

Not all technology has to involve electronics; one item that's easy to overlook is the lowly water-bottle. Camelbak's Podium water bottle is really worth the price tag. The self-sealing nozzle really works - the bottle very rarely spills and remains clean and not sticky even when using high-octane sport drinks like Accelerade.

Great point.

What other electronic or non-electronic technology do you use or favor?

I actually don't use much.  I am good with the boring water bottles.  I don't mind that they taste a bit like plastic.  I have mostly low tech stuff on my bike.  I don't worry all that much about weight.  It is far easier for me to drop a pound or two than to remove the same weight from my bike.

I use a Garmin 305 GPS watch.  It of course can give speed, distance and altitude, and with a sensor on my bike, cadance.  Check it out https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=349.
